House of Ladypants

A Center for Experimental Performance and Creative Collaboration

Founded in 2025, the House of Ladypants is Katherine Adamenko’s curatorial practice at the foothills of the Adirondacks in upstate New York. Through performances, festivals, and salons, the House of Ladypants serves as an incubator for innovation — bringing professional artists from around the world to the region and working with the regional community to cultivate new performance.

Its roots go back more than 25 years, when Katherine hosted intimate performance salons in her graduate-school apartment — a charged, wildly creative space where academics shed their scholarly armor, claimed their artistic identities, and made fearless original work for one another. Those salons became the spark that, decades later, ignited the House of Ladypants.
